What’s the biggest thing you’ve learnt this year?

To believe in myself. I think we all have a bit of self doubt however by believing in your ability and knowledge of your business, your family and life gives you more strength and clarity in life.

What’s your number one way to wind down?

Just like most women in this world, I love to go shopping!! Spending money can be so relaxing. Unfortunately I can’t knit or sew.

What’s your favourite film?

Titanic – the ship sank however you could feel the love of the characters. A beautiful love story but a sad ending.

What or who has the most grounding influence on you?

My husband Bill, sadly he passed away just over three years ago but his passion, knowledge and love for this business and for business broking will always be with me. He still inspires me everyday.

What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?

Enjoy the journey of business, you will have good days and tough days but remember to enjoy what you do and why you are there.

Where and when do you have your best ideas?

Usually while I am sleeping, I wake up during the night with a great idea which makes it hard to get back to sleep, however it’s great for my business.

What would your mum say is your greatest strength? And weakness?

Strength: Resilience – Losing my husband and trying to raise three kids under 10 while running a business can be extremely tough however I have learnt that you just need to do what you can and while it is tough I just need to work through it each day.
Weakness: Time management – I sometimes struggle with getting things done in my work day because my lack of time management.

What’s one thing about you few people know?

Actually if you have spent five minutes with me then you would know that I love chocolate and coffee, my two must haves each day.

What do you love most about running your own business?

Knowing that with each win or success you have in your business is because of you and your decisions. Also, watching it grow with all your hard work.
