What do you do? Who for? And how does it benefit them?
I am a business consultant and spend much of my time helping sales teams / individuals be their best!
When did you know you wanted to start your own business?
About four years ago, I decided to ‘go it alone’.
What’s the best thing about being a soloist? And the worst thing?
You can make decisions and execute them immediately, although sometimes it’s hard to set priorities with limited resources.
What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?
Life’s not a dress rehearsal – go get it!
Where and when do you have your best ideas?
Idea creation can come at many different times and places … necessity is certainly the mother of invention though!
You’ve got a free half hour during your workday. What do you do?
Probably catch up on some business reading.
What’s your proudest moment?
Developing ‘Evoke’ into a well-recognised and trusted brand.
What would your parents say is your greatest strength? And weakness?
I’m a people person with loads of energy, but can also be too harsh on myself.
What do you wear to work?
It depends. Casual wear if it’s an office day; suit if required. The tie has definitely gone by the wayside!
What’s your number one way to wind down?
Either a ride on the bike, or a glass of good red.
What would be your advice to aspiring soloists?
Clearly understand your value offering, point of difference and ideal customer.
