2022 Sydney Metro Business Awards nominations now open
Business NSW awards celebrate entrepreneurship and business success and theyโve just opened entries for the 2022 Sydney Metro Business Awards. The awards recognise growth and entrepreneurship and celebrate business success from across NSW in 11 different regions.
Entries are now openย for businesses in the Sydney Metro area until 12 September. The Sydney Metro area is defined by Business NSW as Eastern Suburbs, Sutherland Shire and North Sydney.
Nominations are alsoย currently still openย for the awards in Northern Rivers, New England North West, Murry-Riverina, Central Coast, Far South Coast. Entries have closed for Western NSW, Hunter, Illawarra, Western Sydney (which includes Western Sydney, Macarthur and Blue Mountains) and Mid North Coast.
Thereโs no fee to enter, but you do have to be a MyBusiness member. The membership is free and you can find out about joiningย here.
Entering your Sydney Metro business provides an opportunity to reflect on yourย business goals, strategies and vision. You can pull out the key strategies that have shaped your success and share the insights that have driven the growth of your business.
The awards are also an excellent way toย reward outstanding employeesย through categories like outstanding employee or young business leader.ย Or pull focus to particular values that are important to your business, likeย diversity and inclusion, sustainability, innovation or community.
The Sydney Metro area is one of the most diverse economies in Australia. It contributes to the NSW economy through high-tech manufacturing, hospitality, tourism, health and professional services.
The Sydney Metro Business Awards recognise and reward this diversity through 14 different categories. Providing you meet the category criteria, you are free to enter your business into as many categories as you like.
The Outstanding Employee Award recognises an inspirational employee who has demonstrated a passion for their role and a commitment to their workplace and the community.
The Outstanding Young Business Leader Award recognises anย inspirational business leaderย aged 35 or under who has demonstrated a commitment to their workplace, industry and the community through leadership.
The Outstanding Business Leader Award recognises an inspirational business leader aged 36 years or over who has demonstrated a commitment to their workplace, industry and the community through leadership, whilstย providing mentorshipย to others.
The Excellence in Micro Business Award recognises a business that hasย effectively driven growthย and is able to demonstrate the specific strategies implemented to achieve business success and/or resilience.
The Excellence in Small Business Award recognises a business that has effectively driven growth and is able to demonstrate the specific strategies implemented to achieve business success and/or resilience.
The Excellence in Large Business Award recognises a business that has effectively driven growth and is able to demonstrate the specific strategies implemented to achieve business success and/or resilience.
The Outstanding Startup Award recognises aย startup businessย that has effectively driven growth and is able to demonstrate the potential to achieve future success.
The Excellence in Innovation Award recognises a business that has implementedย innovative solutionsย for new and existing business needs through the introduction or improvement of an idea, product, method, technology, process or application.
The Excellence in Sustainability Award recognises a business that has demonstrated its commitment toย sustainable business practicesย and is working to reduce the impact of its operations on the environment.
The Excellence in Export Award recognises a business thatย exports its products or servicesย internationally in order to build a positive reputation for Australian products and services and to deliver opportunities for business growth and success.
The Employer of Choice Award recognises a business that has implemented strategies and initiatives to createย stimulating and supportive workplaceย environments for its employees.
This Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award recognises businesses thatย address the needs of a diverse community, including seniors, people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, and people with disability. An inclusive business facilitates the needs of all its employees and customers.
The Outstanding Community Organisation Award recognises an organisation that works to improve the social, cultural or environmentalย wellbeing of the community.
The Outstanding Local Chamber Award recognises the achievements of a Local Chamber of Commerce in supporting its members to maximise their business potential.
Open to the winners of most of the above categories.
