pat mannix Cotchy

We sat down with Pat Mannix from Cotchy.com.auย  to get the lowdown onย  Cotchy –ย  a platform that specialises in servicing the accounting needs of micro and small businesses.

Was a career in business always on the cards?

No, I started as an accountant but dealt with so many small businesses and then saw how much fun they were having and all the challenges as well. Thatโ€™s when I caught the bug too. Plus, my father is a small business person too.

Did you always have a passion for numeracy? Earliest mathematical memory?

I was an average student, but maths is my strong point and then once into accounting and tax I really enjoy it. I vividly recall getting excited in Year 11 Accounting about debits equalling credits

What was the inspiration to launch Cotchy?

The financial recording pain points of running a small business have dropped considerably in the last 10 years due to cloud based software, the internet and video chats such as zoom. I realised I could take on a new client anywhere in Australia and run their whole books, BAS and tax for them at a low cost based on the new technology. This has been exciting and great value

Explain Cotchy to the uninitiatedโ€ฆ

We run clients bookkeeping/BAS/Tax on our platform starting at $100 per month all over Australia.

How can Cotchy help small businesses?

Everything is in one place for a low monthly price, and we offer full bookkeeping and tax support as part of that monthly fee. No hidden charges or hourly rates
