This 5 minute video tells you everything you need to know about marriage

Yet none so universally divisive as the one perfectly captured in the video doing rounds on Facebook today, (thanks David Koch!)

We’re going to call this rule #400001: speeding fines.

And at least according to the couple in this video, after a certain number of years together, you should no longer feel obliged to cop a fine for your other half.  In fact, it’s every man/woman for themselves!   

Enter Linda Field and her husband (we’re never told his name). 

The couple, who’ve been married 43 years,  have arrived at a local city court to fight a recent parking ticket that was addressed to Linda. 

NB: The video is part of a television series called ‘Caught in Providence’ from North America.

“This is my wonderful husband. I got the ticket. He was driving my car. I’m not guilty. He is.” 

“So you’re throwing him under the bus?” came the judges reply.

“Well I’m not going to throw myself under the bus!” is her hilarious response. 

What follows is a hugely entertaining and good natured tussle between the judge and Linda and includes some hilarious side remarks from her husband, the court officials and people in the jury. 

The final verdict is definitely worth a watch, too. 

Marriage, huh? It’s not for the fainthearted!
