My dad who started the business 40 years ago and has built a very loyal customer base. He has a good nose for business and making the most of opportunities.
The biggest thing we have learnt this year is how to help international businesses expand into Australia. For customers who are not familiar with the Australian legal and tax frameworks, we have really had to make sure our messaging and educational information is clear and easy to follow.
We have more than 40 five star reviews on our website, but the best feedback I personally have had is to do with my responsiveness and helpfulness on even the smallest enquiries. As a business we strive to maintain high levels of responsiveness as that is what separates our business from the rest.
Marrying my wife in Scotland in 2016 in front of family and friends. We managed to have 30 Aussies fly over the east coast of Scotland to help celebrate.
Mixing up a gin and tonic and chilling out in the garden, or otherwise jumping on a bicycle with my wife and exploring where we live.
I love the dark comedies like Bad Santa, The Cable Guy, etc โ not usually a popular choice though!
Google Adwords has worked on some services, but it is very expensive. Nothing really beats face to face meetings.
Weโve had many clients wanting to establish businesses in all sorts of weird and wonderful industries, some of them not fit for repeating here!
Adapting to changes in technology, and making sure we keep pace with how we deliver our services. Finding new customers is also difficult as it involves carefully manage our marketing costs and strategy.
Always keep an eye out for new opportunities because you canโt rely on your core business being there forever. Things always change and get disrupted.
If I go for a long run, I find that a lot of things fall into clearer perspective.
Seek advice and help early on to avoid the typical pitfalls.

I love the flexibility with my time, as well as the sense of ownership that comes with the work I produce. I can see the direct benefit from the effort I put in.
