So good, it had to stop.

After four sell out years, weโ€™ve decided to pull the plug on our annual Flying Solo LIVE! event. Hereโ€™s why.

Weโ€™ve had an enormous amount of fun staging our live event in Sydney and we know that what latterly became Independentsโ€™ Day will be sorely missed, but sometimes good things need to end in order to create something even greater.

This year we have partnered with PayPal on their Driving Business Online program and will be hitting the road visiting 10 locations around Australia between July and December โ€“ as soon as we know precisely where weโ€™re headed, weโ€™ll be sure to let you know.

Deciding to cease a business activity that was doing well was tough, but in the last couple of years weโ€™ve become increasingly uncomfortable with the Sydney-centric nature of our event. You may remember we tried to add Melbourne last year, but just couldnโ€™t make the numbers work.

Thanks to our new partners we can now spread our message much farther afield and grow our reach around the country, which is one of our core aims.

The precise details of โ€˜the tourโ€™ are a bit sketchy at the moment, but weโ€™ll be filling you in soon. In essence, weโ€™re hugely excited that weโ€™re going to get to say hello to hundreds more of you in more places, thanks to the new format.

My apologies that this weekโ€™s missive is all about us, but we figured youโ€™d like to know what weโ€™re up to. Itโ€™s a very exciting time at FSHQ and weโ€™ve a heap of great things heading your way very soon.

Finally, a massive โ€˜thank youโ€™ to the nearly, 1,400 who jumped onto our survey over the past couple of weeks. We received over a thousand fully completed surveys and are now busily trying to make sense of all youโ€™ve told us. All will be revealed.

Iโ€™d be interested to hear your own thoughts on stopping good things to allow greater opportunities to surface. Whatโ€™s been your experience? Tell all below.
