Getting LIKERS back to your Facebook page
If youโre putting a lot of energy into promoting your Facebook page, you want people coming back to chat on your wall, check out your tabs and basically engage with you. You donโt want them to click LIKE and then disappear into the sunset.
So how can you get those LIKERS returning to your business Facebook page again and again? Here are seven free ideas to get you started.
When you write your page posts, donโt just refer back to another tab on your page – make sure you also include the link to it. For example, if youโre posting โWin a week at our day spa, just click on the competition tab,โ your post should include a link to the tab itself. This makes it really easy for people who see the post in their newsfeed (which lets face it is most people) to take the action you want them to take.
It might sound obvious, but itโs really disappointing to see a tab offering 20 percent off something, click on it, and only then find out that the offer actually ended last month. Every time it happens to me I feel robbed. Make it a habit to click on each of your tabs every month to check theyโre working properly and that the offers they contain are current.
I know itโs not easy to add cool content to your Facebook page on the sniff of an oily rag, but it can be done. For example you can easily create a file tab with downloadable PDFs for free – all you do is create them as a Word doc and convert them to PDF. Yes, ideally you want to make them look glam, but if the content is great and is laid out well with your branding then that is enough.

Do things especially for your page LIKERs. Among other options, you could offer them an early preview of your new range, first dibs on sale items, a discount code just because, a free e-book download, a free consultation, access to you to answer questionsโฆ Whatever it is, make people want to go back. And donโt be shy about reminding them to take your offer up.
This should be obvious, but some people think that posting any old thing will do. In reality, it wonโt. I was just reading today on the Hubspot page that people were complaining because they were posting content too often. Find out what your peeps want and deliver it.
There are some fabulous gym and personal training businesses out there that have class timetables, recipes, workout sheets and more on their pages for people to download. Those are the kind of pages I want to go back to. If I know that every week something new is added that Iโll be interested in then Iโll visit the page to find it.
Donโt think you can just do all these things once and your LIKERS will keep coming back forever. It just doesnโt work like that. You need to keep it up.
